To earn the CTC, travel professionals must:
** Possess at least 5 years of full-time industry experience.
** Have completed the CTA program.
** Pass the CTC test.
** Complete a 2000-3000 word White Paper.
** Commit to annual certification maintenance to retain their certification.

The CTC program can be completed in 6 to 9 months, however, candidates have 18 months to complete testing and their White Paper. Many students choose to study independent study, but they may also opt to attend a Professional Institute (formerly Executive Institute) to complete the course testing. Cancellations/Refunds: CTC candidates wishing to withdraw are entitled to a full refund less a $50 administrative fee, provided they return their original study materials in saleable condition along with a written request for withdrawal within 30 days of their enrollment. After 30 days, no refunds will be given.
